| Something for the Kids |
Carpet tiles are ideal for kids rooms. With Heuga modular flooring you can create a stimulating and fun environment which is practical too.
 
Take a look at the new 123s flooring that we have just launched specially for kids bedrooms, playrooms and nurseries. This package comes as a box of 12 tiles (3 square metres) featuring numbers 1-10 and symbols + and x. The tiles are designed to be combined with our PuzzlePieces range and feature the colours Amaryllis, Indigo, Rosemary and Tuscany from that range. The 123s carpet tiles can be laid in any direction so you can create a random pattern amongst solid colours of PuzzlePieces like we have here or create a rug of numbers with the solid colours around the outside. We all know that kids rooms need to be practical and this is where carpet tiles are definitely a smart choice. For those inevitable spills and stains you can always lift a tile and clean it or swap it for one under the bed where nobody needs to see it! That's the flexibility of Heuga flooring!

| Get Creative |
Create a Border
A border can add a smart look to your room and is fairly easy to create with carpet tiles - either use full tiles or cut them to whatever size you like.
 | Border created using half tiles (25cmx50cm) of PuzzlePieces in colour Amaryllis. Main floor is Animals&Minerals in Zebra design. The addition of the red border frames the zebra print flooring and coordinates with the entire room including the accessories to create a really stylish contemporary look. |
 | Border created using cut tiles of TenderTouch in colour Blueberry. Main floor is TenderTouch in Orange. The border was created using contrasting colours and this highlights the features in the room including the bay window and the fireplace. |
Create a Random Pattern Carpet tiles are so flexible, you can combine colours and textures however you like. Play around to achieve the look you want then lay the tiles.  | Created using ¼ tiles (25cmx25cm) of SimplySoft in colour Diving. Main floor is SimplySoft in colour Beach. To recreate this pattern, simply cut random corners from the main colour and place the ¼ tiles in position. |
Create a Colourful Parquet Effect If you want a really colourful look then Heuga offers a great range of colours and you can combine them however you like.
Created using ½ tiles (25cmx50cm) of ColorCollection in colours Brick, Ivory, Camel, Sea green, Ocean, Marble, Ink and Azure.
Create a Rug Effect If you want to highlight a piece of furniture or add some interest to your floor then its easy to create a rug within the design of your floor using a different colour or design and there's no chance of tripping on the edge!

Create Stripes
Stripes can change the look of a room whether you want to make it appear longer or just to add some interest. You can cut carpet tiles to create stripes as thick or as thin as you please.

| Combine Soft and Smooth |
SmartSteps is Heuga's solid modular flooring collection designed to be combined with our soft modular flooring ranges. We have 5 wood effects including Makore an elegant coppery walnut design and Picea, a sleek pine effect look and 3 stone effects including the classic granite look of Topazio. Like our carpet tile ranges, these solid vinyl tiles are 50cm x 50 cm so it's really easy to be creative and combine soft and smooth or rearrange whenever you feel like a change.
